Job overview: To assist the Warehouse Supervisor in ensuring that products are correctly received, stored and dispatched.Responsibilities:Receiving and Storage:Verify and scans incoming products following established procedures.Identify and promptly report any discrepancies to the Warehouse Supervisor.Monitor housekeeping standards and ensure adherence to First-In-First-Out (FIFO) practices.Conduct planned cycle counts to reconcile physical stock with the system.Assist in investigating variances and provide feedback for stock adjustments.Conduct month-end stock takes.Print relevant documentation (e.g., worklists) to guide team activities.Picking, Staging, and Dispatching:Efficiently pick stock according to the Picking List.Verify that the type, quantity, and Batch Number of the physical stock picked match the information captured on the scanner.Ensure correct pallet usage, proper configuration, and appropriate stacking.Wrap pallets securely to prevent damages.Enforce safety standards and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) requirements.Print Pallet Listing and Designation Sheets for each dispatched pallet.Store pallets correctly based on allocated destinations.Provide proof of stock dispatch to relevant role players.Verify proper loading of stock onto trucks, maintaining hygiene and cleanliness standards.Hygiene, Housekeeping, and Occupational Health and Safety:Conduct regular team meetings to promote open communication.Approve leave requests for direct reports and manage overtime as needed.Embrace and demonstrate our company culture by applying the six (6) themes in the workplace.Adhere to Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) and Food Safety Standards (FSSC 22000).Identify and address health and safety hazards promptly.Report hazards or risks to management.Maintain personal hygiene standards.Keep the working area clean and assist with cleaning during factory shutdowns or maintenance.Requirements:National Senior Certificate (NQF 4) or equivalentValid Driver’s License and own transportValid Forklift license2 years’ proven work experience as a Team Leader or Operator, especially in a warehousing environmentProficiency in Microsoft SuiteKnowledge of Receiving, Storage, Picking & Dispatching ProceduresKnowledge of Pallet Configuration & Stacking ProceduresKnowledge of the ERP system*Only short-listed candidates will be contacted.
