TECHNICAL MANAGER - Raw materials control.Job description The Technical Manager must have a strong and traceable work history applicable to process and raw materials control. Preference will be given to candidates with a Masters degree in Chemical Engineering. Kindly note, that BScEng / BEng candidates will be considered.The Technical Manager must ensure that the factory-finished products adhere to the required standards and are produced most cost-effectively. He/she does this by thoroughly controlling raw materials and process parameters, testing finished goods'' technical properties to ensure they adhere to the required standards, and over-inspecting quality on the box of finished goods. Minimum qualifications and job requirements Chemical Engineering (BScEng / BEngAdvantageous:MSc or M(Eng) - (advantageous)Key Responsibilities:Implement and/or maintain Quality Management SystemEnsure raw material availabilityEnsure raw material are within spec before entering the processControl process parametersControl finished product propertiesOver-inspect the Quality on the BoxDevelop body formulasEngage with raw material suppliersEffectively communicate to the team non-conformities picked up at the labHelp production departments to identify & resolve non-conformities Key strengths & abilitiesAbility to pick up raw material or process parameters that go out of specAbility to design or modify testing methods for raw materials and processAbility to work under pressureGood communication and interpersonal skillsHigh ethical standards of work and personal conductThorough, accurate & high attention to detailAbility to work without supervision & driven to continuously improveThe organization is committed to employment equity.
