To lead and develop the members of the Mundipharma Finance team to achieve their full potential and to represent the Finance department and its perspective across the company.To ensure that all legal, regulatory and internal financial and tax reporting requirements are met by ensuring sufficient information is provided in each case to meet all Company obligations and to produce management accounting information for the Mundipharma businessLeadership- Demonstrate role model behaviour in line with the Mundipharma Leadership Attributes and Core Values, and ensure that the Mundipharma Finance Team perform to the standards required and take corrective action when necessary- To ensure that the team is structured and aligned to meet current and emerging needs. To then recruit, develop, lead, performance manage and motivate the team and support the performance and development of members of the team to maximise their potential, including appraisals and objective setting in line with departmental strategies and tactics.- Be an active member of the Business Effectiveness Management Team.- Ensure that the management accounting services provided to the Mundipharma SA business are fit for purpose and that the Mundipharma LT and senior managers have sufficient accurate financial information for them to make decisions in the best interests of the company.- Drive a culture of financially based decision making in Mundipharma SA through the provision of helpful, digestible and constructive financial information, post-decision analysis, financial forecasting and spend analysis that is understandable to business managers and assists them in their decision making.- Provide guidance to the LAM Management accounting teams on all finance matters in relation to Commercial (Field sales, Sales support, Marketing and Medical) and General and Administration functions (Finance, Procurement, Corporate Affairs, Legal / Patent and HR) and that regular monthly management accounting information including variances to budget and commentaries thereon are accurate and timely.Financial Management- Budgets and P&L Management- To ensure that all legal, regulatory and internal financial reporting requirements are met by providing sufficient information in each case to meet all Company obligations – specifically to ensure that all Tax returns and tax compliance requirements are met and that the statutory accounting and auditing requirements are met. - Stay up to date with all accounting and tax changes in legislation and practice that are relevant to the business and ensure these are communicated to all those people who need to know in order to carry out their jobs effectively- Ensure June and November budget rounds are managed to high standard, accurate information prepared and presented at required times.- Ensure relationships with auditors, tax advisers and other professional consultants are managed effectively and efficiently- Ensure monthly and quarterly reporting to Management Revisions on the NPHL group business per the Management Revisions standard formats is completed in an accurate and timely manner including incorporating the figures from META Finance and any Group Finance.- Communicate all requirements for completion of monthly and quarterly reporting in a timely and accurate manner to Management Revisions clearly and in a timely manner to the Group Finance and META Finance teams- To drive an agenda of financial control, profit and cashflow awareness across the company, educating and challenging your peers and their teams to ensure full account is taken of the financial impact of activities- To develop and continually improve the processes in Mundipharma Finance to reduce the time spent on routine processing and increase the amount spent on adding value to the business.- Compile and deliver presentations as required- Ensure that Finance systems, including Oracle, are fit for purpose, compliant and maintain data integrity for the business’ financial information and tax compliance and ensure any improvements or adjustments required are communicated with the Head of META Finance who will co-ordinate the management of the Oracle systems with the IT support functions.Additional Job Description:Primary Location:ZA Cape TownJob Posting Date:2023-11-24Job Type:Permanent About UsMundipharma is a global healthcare company with a presence across Africa, Asia Pacific, Canada, Europe, Latin America, and the Middle East.Mundipharma is dedicated to bringing innovative treatments to patients in the areas of Pain Management, Infectious Disease and Consumer Healthcare as well as other severe and debilitating disease areas.
