Fully remote - based in South AfricaThe Quantity Surveyor role exists to support the delivery of high-end, medium to large sized residential construction projects, ensuring successful completion to quality, time and budget. The Quantity Surveyor will become a key member of the team and tasked with delivering a variety of exciting projects with a contract value from £500 - £4.5m.The role requires an experienced Quantity Surveyor, with at least 3+ years of practical experience working for a main contractor. They will be responsible for the commercial management of a number of projects, throughout the full life cycle of the project, including the execution of commercial, financial and contractual matters for a number of projects throughout the full project life cycle. The QS will be expected to identify and communicate any commercial risks and go out of their way to deliver outstanding client satisfaction.Candidates must be robust and comfortable with communicating complex or sensitive issues to Clients and other stakeholders. They should have a calm professional approach and the ability to resolve disputes with factual, well-reasoned explanations. They must have a strong track record of establishing and maintaining effective relationships with Clients and other stakeholders at all levels.The ideal candidate will be organised and have exceptional attention to detail. They must be able to meticulously manage costs and variations to contracts to keep the project on track.
