Overview Hire Resolve is partnering with a leading engineering consultancy firm to find a highly skilled and experienced Professional Electrical Engineer. As a Professional Electrical Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and overseeing electrical systems for various building projects. The vacancy is suitable for candidates who are either based in Durban or Johannesburg. Responsibilities: Develop electrical design concepts and specifications based on client requirements, industry standards, and building codes. Create detailed electrical drawings and plans using AutoCAD or other design software. Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, and other professionals to ensure electrical systems are integrated effectively into building designs. Perform electrical calculations and analysis to ensure system efficiency and compliance with safety standards. Prepare technical reports, cost estimates, and project documentation. Manage and supervise junior engineers and technicians. Monitor construction progress and provide support during the installation, testing, and commissioning phases. Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in electrical engineering practices. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Registration as a Professional Electrical Engineer with ECSA is required. Minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical engineering within building services. Strong knowledge of electrical design principles, codes, and standards. Proficiency in AutoCAD or other design software. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Ability to manage and supervise a team. Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.
