```html Job Description A leading international consulting firm is looking for an Environmental Consultant with renewables experience to join their team in Durban. The Environmental Consultant will primarily be responsible for assisting with the management and implementation of renewable energy projects in South Africa. In fulfilling this responsibility, the Environmental Consultant will be responsible for: Assisting with undertaking Basic Assessment / environmental impact assessment and/or Part 1 / Part 2 environmental authorisation amendment processes. Conducting reporting, public and stakeholder participation, authority consultation, and project administration. The Environmental Consultant should demonstrate experience of having undertaken applications for environmental authorisations and/or amendments of environmental authorisations in South Africa. They should have experience in report writing and also have the ability to problem solve where appropriate, as well as work as part of a team and independently. Minimum Requirements: 5+ years’ experience in an environmental consultancy environment. B.Sc. (Hons) or Masters in Environmental or Natural sciences or similar qualification. Must be able to proactively manage components of BA / EIA and Part 1 / Part 2 amendment projects. Must have a sound knowledge of environmental legislation and the BA / EIA and Part 1 / Part 2 amendment processes. Should have some experience of developing proposal submissions. Should be able to manage small components of BA / EIA and Part 1 / Part 2 amendment projects with guidance. Must be able to complete BA / EIA / amendment reports with guidance. Knowledge of the various renewable energy guidelines in South Africa including knowledge of the REDZ, Strategic Transmission Corridors, bird and bat monitoring guidelines etc. would be beneficial. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience with GIS software. ``` #J-18808-Ljbffr
