As an Assistant Resident Engineer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing road construction projects, ensuring compliance with regulations, and delivering high-quality results. In this role, you will work closely with the Resident Engineer and other team members to manage all aspects of road construction projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation. You will conduct regular site inspections, review technical documents, and collaborate with contractors and subcontractors to ensure efficient project delivery. Strong communication and leadership skills are essential for success in this position. Responsibilities: Assist the Resident Engineer in managing all aspects of road construction projects, including scheduling, budgeting, and resource allocation Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress, quality, and safety compliance Collaborate with contractors, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and efficient project delivery Review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documents to verify accuracy and adherence to project requirements Prepare progress reports, work schedules, and cost estimates for presentation to project stakeholders Provide technical support and guidance to project team members as needed Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, codes, and standards throughout the project lifecycle Assist in resolving technical issues and addressing any changes or modifications to project plans Maintain accurate project records, including drawings, reports, and correspondence Support the Resident Engineer in managing client expectations and fostering positive relationships Requirements: Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering or related field Diploma in Civil Engineering will be considered with 15 years experience Minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in road construction projects if you have a degree. Strong knowledge of engineering principles, construction methods, and industry best practices Experience working on SANRAL projects Proficiency in project management software and tools Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed Benefits: Market Related #J-18808-Ljbffr
