Job Description: Accurate assessment, investigation and processing of long term insurance claims these claims will include death, disability and critical illness claims. Processing claims and assessing payment of benefits in accordance with the policy terms and conditions [ads1] Job Responsibilities: Reduce risk to Nedbank Group by monitoring; identifying and reporting trends in claims Drive and support effective teamwork within the department. Engage in appropriate training interventions to promote own professional development. Monitor claims received to ensure that duplication does not occur resulting in financial loss to the company. Ensure Service Level Agreements are met and exceeded. Monitor customer delivery and escalate exceptions to management. Comply with Service Level Agreement or Claims Protocol by administering and facilitating the claims process. Meet client needs by ensuring claims are processed according to service level agreement and insurance policy Identify risks to the company and escalate accordingly. Job Requirements: Matric / Grade 12 / National Senior Certificate Knowledge of insurance and industry legislation advantageous 3 – 5 years’ experience in a Claims environment Completing various administrative duties (e.g.; answering phones; making copies; filing) Occupational Therapy/Physiotherapy/Nursing or similar qualification Knowledge of Life Insurance advantageous Life Insurance qualification Working with a group to identify alternative solutions to a problem.
