Key Performance Areas Coordinate Research Output collection and dissemination for the Institute. Maintain the Research Output database. Coordinate the data collection for key research output activities across the institute (e.g. publications, conference presentations, joint appointments, policy committee participation). Ensure timeous and quality driven data capturing. Review all research output indicators to ensure data accuracy and integrity. Review data to identify trends, data quality issues and areas for improvement. Provide monthly reports for Director review of outputs. Drive key activities such as the capture of institutional data/publications into ROCS/other relevant systems. Support the write-up of all relevant reports relating to research outputs, for the Organisation, University, and any other relevant stakeholder. Support ongoing mentorship to Office Managers and others, for timeous, accurate data collection/capture. Interface with Wits University Central Research Office. Support the Director and Head of Operations with key administration. Support the team with the administration in grant applications. Maintain relevant office systems such as electronic and manual filing systems (MS Teams, Visio etc). Co-ordinate and execute team-building events. Assist with writing reports to funders or as relevant. Support team with any other research related activities. Document team meetings as and when required. Participation in all appropriate research related meetings (internal and external). Co-ordinate exposure of WRHI to external stakeholders (i.e. student visitors, tours). Take ownership and accountability for tasks and demonstrate effective self-management. Maintain a positive attitude and respond openly to feedback. Take ownership for driving own career development by participating in ongoing training and development activities such as conferences, workshops etc. Must be interested in working in a clinical trial environment and driving career. Required Minimum Education and Training Post graduate degree in any health-related field or equivalent. Must have knowledge of journal referencing and journal databases (such as Pubmed). Required Minimum Work Experience None Desirable Additional Education, Work Experience and Personal Abilities Research Internships and/or exposure to clinical trial working environment. Able to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team. Be tactful and respectful. Ordered and systematic with strict compliance to protocols. Good administrative skills.
