We love bringing our young learners from around the world together through a common language and building global connections._________________________________________________________________________________________Position Summary:Activity Leaders are at the forefront of delivering a successful activity programme, providing instruction, guidance and coaching to the students, whilst ensuring all activities are delivered to provide a safe, secure, and tolerant environment in a proactive and engaged manner.Key Responsibilities:Promoting and safeguarding the welfare of students for who you are responsible and with whom you come into contactEnsuring the activities operate to the highest standards of relevant Health & Safety and safeguarding practicesManaging and leading onsite and offsite excursions which enable the development of students’ skillsMaximising students and group leaders’s satisfaction by ensuring their experience meets or exceeds their expectationsSpecific duties include:To lead, supervise, motivate & engage students on activitiesTo enthusiastically promote the Activity ProgrammeTo prepare, plan & lead students on activitiesTo maintain levels of student discipline, safety, and welfareTo assist in day-to-day general duties as instructed by senior managementTo work in a way that promotes the safety and well-being of children and young peopleTo carry out residential supervision duties, including meal and bedtime supervision as requested by the Centre Manager (where applicable)To help manage and maintain activity stockOrganisational Compliance:The job holder will be expected to operate in accordance with the company’s Code of Conduct, and any local policies and operating procedures relating to academic, welfare and safeguarding matters.Employees are required to cooperate fully with all arrangements in place related to Health and Safety which include implementation and compliance with control measures resultant from risk assessments and engagement with, and completion of, any relevant Health and Safety training.Education Required:Educated to Degree level or equivalent/or working towardsSafeguarding Level 1 (Desirable – if not in possession, Embassy Summer will provide the necessary course upon successful selection)Experience Required:No prior work experience is required for the role of activity leader however we do look for candidates with a lot of common sense and great communication skills.
