We are looking to appoint a Project Engineer to join our established and diverse team. The successful candidate will have proven technical skills and experience in project and contract management. They will assist the existing team in implementing projects for our clients. The success of our business development team means we need to add capacity to manage the contracting, construction, and operations of successfully concluded projects. One of the pioneers of the power purchase agreements (PPAs) in the South African commercial and industrial (C&I) solar PV market, Broadreach Energy specializes in financing and operating renewable energy systems for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) through to large corporates and national utility companies. This is your opportunity to join our team in designing and helping to implement these solutions for our clients. Qualifications&Skills Recent graduate in electrical, mechatronics, or mechanical engineering with more than two years of workplace experience. Project management qualifications and experience are not essential but are an advantage. Strong MS365 skills. Experience with quoting and creating bills of materials for the electrical industry will be an advantage. Experience with JBCC and FIDIC contracts and managing these would also be an advantage. Site experience is essential. Behavioural Competencies Must have a passion for the renewable energy industry. Must have good people skills and be an excellent communicator. Confident and professional with the ability to negotiate and communicate within a corporate business environment. The ability to work independently to meet deadlines in concluding projects timeously. Motivated and driven by goals; high performer with a proven track record. Being comfortable with travel to remote areas and working on your own in this environment is a must. Areas of Responsibility Leading contract negotiations with suppliers. Managing contract budgets and timelines. Meeting with clients and suppliers to inform them of project progress. Coordinate construction oversight and interfacing with the technical team on the latest solutions and specifications to improve client offerings where necessary. Continuous improvement of existing and new contracting and contract management processes to ensure best customer and investor outcomes. What We Offer Competitive salary based on experience.
