```html Our client in the Textile or Apparel Manufacturing Industry is seeking a talented and skilled Marketing and Business Development Executive to join their Executive Management Team. This role involves undertaking strategic marketing projects, identifying new revenue opportunities, and driving new customer growth. The ideal candidate will partner with the Executive team to capitalize on opportunities for market expansion, increased profitability, and sustained success in a competitive business landscape. Responsibilities: Establish a business development unit to drive revenue through new business development opportunities in line with the company’s turnaround strategy. Develop a 3-to-5-year implementation plan to drive and increase revenue for the business. Develop a marketing strategy according to trends and customer requirements for the company’s sustainability. Staff and manage the business development unit. Conceive and develop efficient and intuitive marketing strategies for the Hospitality, Retail, e-Commerce, and Exports industries to drive sustainable growth. Oversee the implementation of marketing strategies including advertising, communication campaigns (TV, social media, radio, etc.), exhibitions, and promotional events. Develop and grow new business opportunities in both hospitality and retail in the SADC region, East and North Africa, the BRICS+ countries, and Europe. Build on existing relationships to develop and grow new business opportunities for the company. Analyze the performance of current products and formulate future business strategies accordingly. Present new category recommendations regularly to the Sales Manager and Key Account Managers (financials, reasoning/trends, and plans). Keep abreast of industry trends and new product ideas in local and international markets. Develop strategies based on financial plans (profitability targets, markup, and receipt flow) for current and future customers. Build strong relationships with current and new customers both locally and internationally. Forecast business projections and trends, formulate result-oriented plans, and set and adhere to budgets/objectives. Negotiate buying terms with vendors (price, quantity, delivery terms, and markdowns). Conduct market research and analysis to evaluate trends, brand awareness, and competition ventures. Initiate control surveys to assess customer requirements and dedication. Sign off on copy for diverse marketing distributions (brochures, press releases, website material, etc.). Collaborate with managers in preparing budgets and monitoring expenses. Requirements: Proven experience in establishing and managing a business development unit. Strong background in developing and implementing 3-to-5-year business and marketing strategies. Experience in staffing and managing business development units. Demonstrated ability to develop marketing strategies for various industries, including Hospitality, Retail, e-Commerce, and Exports. Proven track record in developing and growing business opportunities in the SADC region, East and North Africa, the BRICS+ countries, and Europe. Strong analytical skills for evaluating product performance and formulating business strategies. Ability to present new category recommendations with supporting financial and trend analysis. Knowledge of industry trends and new product ideas. Experience in developing strategies based on financial plans. Strong relationship-building skills with current and new customers both locally and internationally. Proven negotiation skills for vendor agreements. Proficiency in conducting market research and analysis. Experience in initiating and assessing control surveys. Strong communication skills for developing marketing copy and collaborating with managers on budgets and expenses. Bachelor’s degree in Textiles, Textile Technology, Marketing, or a related field. 5-10 years of experience in marketing and business development in the Textile or Apparel Manufacturing industry.
