Job PurposeProvide leadership and direction to the operating companies in the regional portfolio with relation to full end to end financial reporting, FP&A and compliance as well as related strategic initiatives.Key Performance AreasOversight and management of regional portfolio of countries. Actively engage with and provide leadership to the FF SSA Operational finance teams on various finance matters.Manage month end and financial control processes.Detailed financial analysis of actuals against forecast and budgetManage the financial planning process, budgeting and forecasting and reporting for regional portfolio.Consolidation of financial and management reporting, ensuring accuracy of financial information, as well as timeous preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting within deadlines.Detailed reviews of gross profit and exception reporting and management with Operating companies.Perform reviews of monthly reconciliations with Operating companiesDetailed net working capital management. Cash flow projections to be calculated and reported on monthly for operating companies.Support with relevant approvals for payments, credit limits, customer rate profiles, intercompany transactions in accordance with levels of authority.Support in the preparation of monthly Exco / MBR reporting for the regional portfolio.Support and close out the annual and interim external audit process with operating companies.Work closely with the Group finance teams in alignment of Group processes and procedures and implement updates with operating companies.Implement and ensure compliance with internal financial and accounting policies and procedures. Support and play a key role in M&A activities. Detailed application of IFRS requirements in consolidation and mergers and acquisitions. Support and play a key role in new finance system implementations and finance process improvements. Support and play a key role in the deployment of new office set-up in Africa. Ensure operating companies for the regional portfolio are compliant with all treasury/ CFC compliance requirements. Ensure compliance with internal financial controls, IFRS, Tax, country specific legislation, etc. Manage in-country risk registers with local teams. Ensure accurate and timely financial statements are produced annually. Evaluating investment opportunities and making recommendations for allocating capital effectively, including sector outlooks and financial forecasts. Financial modelling of various scenarios to determine optimal outcomes. Provide strategic financial guidance to in-country/ regional team. Provide input and guidance on technical IFRS matters to in-country/ regional team. Supervision over operating company/ in-country accounting teams to ensure the timely closing of accounts, payroll, and other financial transactions including profitability analysis. Ensure compliance with the national and industry-specific statutory and regulatory requirements.
