FACILITIES AND WASH BAY SUPPERVISOROverview:Directs and coordinates the operation of the Equipment Prep/Wash Bay Department. Reviews cleaned equipment list from the previous day verifying satisfactory completion, and prioritizes work for themselves and their team based on operational needs in coordination with Operations and Workshop.Essential Job Responsibilities:WASHBAY:· Understanding of wash bay equipment and operations;· Ensure that wash-bay equipment is maintained in accordance with quality standards;· Oversees management of daily operations of Equipment Prep/Wash Bay department in coordination with Operations and Workshop;· Plan work, resolve issues, and identifying opportunities to improve quality and efficiency;· Actively manage and participate in the equipment preparation operation, providing cleaning and detailing services to Trucks, LDV’s and other vehicles· Provides ongoing coaching (direction and support) to Truck Washers in ways that consistently improve performance;· Maintains regular communication with Operations to prioritize and delegate work;· Ensure all Trucks, LDV’s and other vehicles meet Moffats’ quality standards;· Reports issues requiring further attention to Operations, Workshop and management;· Follows all company and health and safety guidelines and policies;· Reporting of activities relating to wash bay in accordance with Moffats reporting requirements;· Effectively participates in the interviewing, hiring, training and performance evaluation process of wash bay employees in consultation with Human Resources;· Other duties as required.FACILITIES:• Undertaking all tasks and supervising and overseeing employees who are part of the facilities team to ensure that the depot and related facilities adhere to Moffats standards• Gardening and maintenance tasks - External area and all internal gardening requirements. Cleaning of paved areas, patio, including parking garages.• Maintaining grass, taking care of seasonal plants and replacements thereof, and watering of garden as required.• Trimming and edging the garden• Clean gutters from leaves and debris on a regular basis. Inside and outside of premises must be kept clean and optimally maintained such as, replace faulty lights/globes as and when required, including ordering stock for maintenance needs.• Garbage bins must be taken out weekly for pick-up and then hosed and kept clean.• Ensure that cars are washed and cleaned• Assist with deliveries and general driving duties as necessary• Generator: • Check fuel, oil, and radiator levels weekly; be responsible for overall maintenance of the generator.Requirements:· Matric required· 2+ years of automotive cleaning/detailing experience essential· Must be conversant with truck washing equipment and its maintenance· 1+ year of previous leadership experience strongly preferred· Proficient English communication skills (oral and written) in order to give instructions clearly, and ability to work well with others· Ability to work hands on in the operation performing cleaning and detailing work· Current Driver’s License, preferably a Driver’s License Code 14Attributes:• Self-Starter and disciplined• TrustworthyJob Type: Full-time• 12 hour shift• Weekends as neededShift availability:• Night Shift (Preferred)• Day Shift
