Our client is seeking a hands-on Operations Manager to lead and actively participate in their technical support team. This role involves both overseeing the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of hardware and networking systems, as well as directly engaging in technical tasks to ensure optimal site operations. Main job function Leadership and Management:Supervise and guide the technical support team, providing direction, training, and assistance.Develop and implement operational strategies to enhance efficiency and performance.Coordinate with other departments to align operational activities with project goals.Technical Execution:Responsible for installation, configuration, and calibration of hardware components such as cameras, controllers, and access points according to technical specifications and site requirements.Conduct thorough testing and quality assurance checks to ensure proper functionality and performance of installed hardware.Troubleshoot and diagnose hardware and networking issues, utilizing advanced technical knowledge and diagnostic tools to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.Manage the setup and configuration of networking infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls, to support reliable data transmission and communication.Provide high-level technical guidance and support during site upgrades, expansions, and system migrations to minimize disruptions and ensure successful implementation.Project Management:Oversee and manage installation teams, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.Develop detailed project plans and monitor progress to ensure smooth execution and timely completion.Client Communications:Serve as the primary point of contact for clients during installation projects, providing regular updates and addressing concerns.Collaborate with clients to understand their requirements and ensure installations meet their expectations.Documentation and Continuous Improvement:Oversee the documentation of technical procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps to facilitate knowledge sharing and support continuous improvement initiatives.Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness. QualificationsCompleted Matric. Degree / Diploma will be advantageous Experience/Criteria Proven experience in a technical support or operations management role with a hands-on approach.Extensive proficiency in hardware installation, configuration, and calibration techniques.Strong understanding of networking principles, protocols, and technologies (TCP/IP, VLANs, DHCP, DNS).Hands-on experience with diagnostic tools and equipment for hardware and network troubleshooting.Demonstrated ability to analyze complex technical problems and implement effective solutionsExcellent communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.Relevant certifications in technical support, networking, or related fields.Experience with Hikvision hardware is a bonus.Ownership of a vehicle and tools is a bonus.
