The SDR Role SDRs are key members of the sales team, They are at the tip of the rocket when it comes to developing new opportunities for Specno. Working within the sales team they are rockstars at researching, contacting, and engaging with potential partners to understand their requirements and assess if there is a qualified sales opportunity. SDRs should love the chase and the hustle to feed off of the energy coming from hitting sales targets. Who you are? You are not afraid to pick up the phone and phone the CEO of Africa’s biggest tech company. You should have a competitive personality with high energy to match. Not only going for the win but pushing for the team to win! Attention to detail with the ability to listen to prospective clients regarding their businesses and identify their requirements / where Specno can assist their needs. You identify yourself as a confident networker/communicator that has a passion for problem-solving. Finding new ways to connect with prospects and nurturing them through the pipeline. An entrepreneurial mindset that understands what it takes to launch, scale and operate a business. (Having previous business experience is a win!) Great writing skills – Understanding how to translate a situation into understandable knowledge for the team. Striving to build out your personal identity on platforms such as Linkedin and using it as a tool for your lead generation. What you will be doing? In the first month of being a Specno SDR you will embark on an intensive training program that will equip you with the skills to carry out the following SDR responsiblities: Researching new opportunities for Specno Sales. Outbound prospecting - cold calling and cold emailing. We will expect you to hit at least 100 cold reach outs a week. You’ll be expected to achieve ambitious HQL (high quality lead) targets set by Specno’s Head of Revenue. Maintain prospect relationships until they are qualified to buy. Build personal identity in line with company brand and values on various platforms to prospect new leads. Additional responsibilities may include attending or speaking at networking opportunities. Handle inbound, unsolicited prospect calls. Cold-call and email prospects to qualify the lead; identify decision makers to begin sales process. Conduct conversations to set appointments with decision makers in prospect accounts. Answer questions and offer suggestions based on a thorough knowledge of Specno and the services we provide; qualify prospects prior to offering a site visit. Emphasise product/service features and benefits. Collaborate with the business development team to determine necessary strategic sales approaches and develop calendar of activities to continually work prospect list. Provide prompt and courteous service excellence. Assist with set up sales presentations, product/service demonstrations, and other sales actions. Reach and exceed key performance indicators including, leads generated and opportunities qualified. What do we look for in a great SDR (Minimum Expectations): At least 2 years woking in sales in the technology industry. A degree in business management in a bonus. An understanding of the product lifecycle is a must. What you can expect working for Specno: Trust and freedom.
