Position Overview Sanlam is seeking a Demand Generation Manager to join our team and support lead generation for the Group Brand and Marketing team. You'll be a data-driven strategist, crafting targeted campaigns and leveraging the latest MarTech tools to bring in qualified leads at optimal costs. What will you do? Lead Generation Strategy&Execution : Contribute to the development of the lead generation strategy and execute against the strategy focused on lead acquisition stemming from Brand activities. This involves identifying target audiences, testing different conversion points and products, crafting compelling messaging, and selecting the most effective digital channels to reach and engage prospects. Campaign Management: Plan, create, launch, and manage lead generation campaigns across various digital channels (e.g., social media marketing, email marketing), optimising for customer experience as well as cost per lead. Lead Nurturing&Management: Implement lead nurturing activities to qualify leads and move them through the sales funnel. Utilise marketing automation tools to personalise communications, track lead lifecycle, and optimise conversion rates. Marketing Analytics&Reporting: Track, measure, and analyse the performance of demand generation campaigns. Utilise data insights to optimise campaigns, improve ROI, identify new growth opportunities, and support sales forecasting with accurate lead generation data. Content Marketing: Develop and manage a content strategy to attract, engage, and educate target audiences working closing with product house marketing managers. This may include creating articles, emails, videos, and other content formats aligned with the demand generation strategy. Marketing Technology: Collaborate with the Marketing Operations Lead and team to leverage MarTech tools and platforms to automate lead generation processes, personalise communications and gain deeper customer insights. Performance Marketing : Collaborate with the Performance Marketing team to manage paid social, paid search, and retargeting campaigns, ensuring optimal budget allocation and campaign performance. What will make you successful in this role? Assists the Marketing Manager in formulating and constantly reviewing corporate objectives, policies and strategies. Responsible for creating and implementing detailed annual Brand marketing plans. Liaises closely with factory planning, purchasing personnel and other relevant departments to ensure the development of products in line with marketing objectives, plans and timelines. Gathers continuous market intelligence on performance of products, consumer and customer attitudes, and new problems and opportunities. Maintains knowledge of inventory levels by working closely with supply chain and maintains regular contact with all stakeholders. Ensures budgets are produced and properly monitored and controlled. Qualification Minimum of bachelor’s degree in marketing or equivalent. Experience 5+ years of experience in B2C demand generation or digital marketing manager role Proven track record of planning and executing multi-channel lead gen campaigns. 5+ years’ experience in Digital Marketing. FinTech experience will be an advantage. Detail-oriented with strong organisational skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Solid grasp of digital analytics and reporting tools (e.g., Google Analytics, Looker Studio, PowerBI) campaign automation platforms (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, Hubspot) and native media platforms (e.g., Meta, TikTok, Google) Knowledge of UX and web optimisation tactics. Knowledge of tracking, tagging and remarketing strategies Experience with content marketing strategy and execution. Excellent communication, collaboration, and project management skills.
