We are making a difference to society and technological progress across the globe.  That’s how our colleagues describe our company.  Want to contribute to enhancing society with your expertise?  Be part of an open network where you’re connected with the brightest and smartest people and technologies?  Join us!You can look forward to growing your career in a dynamic workplace with development opportunities to support your career path.  Entrepreneurship and innovation are stimulated in our organization.  There is plenty of room for own initiative in an open and flexible culture.At Royal HaskoningDHV, we want our workforce to be as diverse as the people we serve and the places they come from.  That’s why we strive to create a workplace and culture that is fair and inclusive.  Together, we're starting a journey in which each of us, individually and as a group, accepts, welcomes, and celebrates our uniqueness because we know that embracing diversity unlocks new ideas and fosters a spirit of openness that makes it easier for people to work together.Main ResponsibilitiesReview of tender documentation and drawings to be undertaken immediately upon appointment, toidentify risk and clarify any design issuesConstruction supervision and monitoring to ensure that the project remains within budget and complieswith specificationsManagement of all site staff, including PLO, trainees and sub-consultants (materials laboratory, OH&S,EMP, etc)Report to the Engineer and liaise with contractorsContract administration dutiesResponsible for all aspects of monthly site meetings, technical site meetings and PLC meetingsMeasure and prepare monthly progress payment certificates and submit final drafts to the EngineerPrepare, check and submit final draft WAF’s / VO’s for approval with motivationPrepare, correlate and compile all documents and information that may be required by the Engineer toassess and consider any claims submitted by the Contractor and submit information withrecommendationImplementation and adherence to quality management and quality control proceduresBe knowledgeable on and apply the policies and procedures of the Client (SANRAL)Monitor the site health and safety and environmental for complianceRegular supervision of measures taken for the accommodation of traffic and the safety of the travellingpublic and accurate record keeping thereofKeep a daily diary of construction activities and progressPreparation of monthly progress reportsLiaison with local authorities, services owners and landownersMark-up and preparation of record drawingsExperience,Knowledge and SkillsMinimum of 10 years’ experienceKnowledge of construction of pavement layers, asphalt surfacing and surfacing sealsExperience on SANRAL projects/understanding of SANRAL procedures is preferableExperience with bridge design and/or construction of bridges is preferableExperience with construction planning and works programmingKnowledge of FIDIC and COLTO/COTOComputer literacy is essentialProficient in MS Office and Outlook; Good working knowledge of MS Project or similarA valid Code 08 driver’s license with own transportBehavioural CompetenciesExcellent interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to liaise at all levelsAbility to work independently as well as within a teamGood time management skillsAbility to meet multiple deadlines and handle pressureProactive and self-startedWhat we offer youAs a worldwide engineering firm, we are ambitious, exciting, lively, collaborative and dynamic.
