The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for maintaining agents (Western Cape and Garden Route,) fostering relationships with new agents and creating new business opportunities to support the MORE accommodation revenue budget. KEY FOCUS AREAS Building and maintaining relationships with Key Account local agents based in Western Cape and Garden Route (initially only email/phone call). Domestic operators strategy - develop a strategy per Key Account to maintain and acquire new business. Communication email, phone calls and face 2 face calls to keep top of mind with each client. Keep up to date with markets/movements/changes/challenges/opportunities and communicate back to the sales team. Monitor bookings per property to identify any decrease/increase in business per property and react accordingly. Corporate clients identify local corporate accounts that can use our CT properties for their corporate travel and those that could use our other properties for getaways and incentives. Build a relationship with these accounts and acquire this segment of business. Production companies connect with the CT production companies who could use our CT properties for long stays during filming in Cape Town. Preparing for and attending local tradeshow(s). Maintain a strong network within the industry. Keep database up to date, relevant information per account, consultant information, contract database with correct contacts for distribution. Product updates, queries, opportunities, building relationships and Product Training. Setting up of site inspections for local agents and hosting. Follow-up of site inspection resulting in increased revenue. Reservations follow up (local). Leads management (investigation, database update and assign to agent category). Group enquiry management. Guest complaints in conjunction with Property, Sales Manager responsible for International account. Out of office for International Sales Managers. Contributing towards the establishment of an annual Sales Plan in coordination with the companys Business Plan and providing quarterly updates. Sales trip (Garden route initial email/phone). Preparation of these trips, flights, accommodation, transfers, car hire and appointments. Preparing and making presentations to current and prospective clients. Achieving Accommodation Revenue Budgets per property. Maintaining expenditure budget and saving costs. Maintaining a database and records of sales generated. Attending various meeting, sales connect, post trip feedback and other relevant meetings. For these meetings preparing feedback and actions. Coordinating the sales effort with other departments including marketing, reservations, and finance. Meeting site inspections at CC/MQ whilst on-site. REQUIREMENTS QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS Grade 12 essential, Degree/Diploma in Sales Management or a related field advantageous. Minimum of 4 years hospitality experience; 2 years sales experience advantageous. Sound knowledge of MS Office Suite, knowledge of Opera advantageous. Valid Code 08 drivers license and own reliable transport. Sound product and market knowledge advantageous. Excellent attention to detail, excellent hygiene principles. Guest focus philosophy, living the MORE brand and driving the MORE experience. Excellent communication skills (written and verbal), practicing honest communication. Team player with positive attitude, enthusiasm, and emotional control. Excellent time management and self-discipline, interpersonal&problem-solving skills. Proactive, use initiative and creative flair when required. Committed and loyal, adaptable, and flexible. Must work accurately under pressure. People skills tolerance, patience, and care.
