RESPONSIBILITIES Promoting and selling tiles to Contractors, Developers and Corporate business Using Contracts Software system to canvass business opportunities Monitor relevant websites for new business opportunities Accurate completing of contract documents from start to finish and submission Prospect and generate new clientele through cold calling, canvassing and networking Set up systems and procedures for the smooth and efficient running of the contracts division. Provide clients with all information regarding measurements, colour, grade, price, stock availability and use of tiling products Be a brand ambassador to project a positive sales and company image REQUIREMENTS Grade 12 5+ years proven external sales experience within this sector essential Previous experience in tiles and the building industry essential Experience with networking with Corporate businesses, Property Developers&Building Contractors essential. Experience with statutory requirements for tenders and RFQs Attention to detail with the ability to drive performance and processes forward adhering to strict deadlines Must be a self leader, organised and collaborative in work across functional teams. Well-presented and have a professional approach to business Be goal driven and results orientated Able to maintain existing and establish new client relationships Must be an excellent communicator at all levels (read, write and speak) fluent in English and preferably Afrikaans Excellent computer literacy skills (intermediate to advanced level) in Microsoft package (especially Excel). Must be based in central Cape Town and must be able to travel Own reliable car, laptop and cell phone essential Be willing to work on a 12 month contract basis.
