Our client, a national heating, ventilation, and air conditioning solutions provider is looking for a Senior Project Manager to join their innovative and collaborative team. Job description: Oversee the technical aspects of multiple HVAC projects, including both design and implementation phases Lead the design and execution of large-scale industrial HVAC applications Promote technical best practices within the office, including researching new methods and processes Handle estimation and cost control and assist with project tendering and budgeting Ensure all projects meet their deadlines Supervise technical staff and contractors Report project progress to management as needed Manage project activities, including site coordination, meetings, and scheduling Prepare and submit technical documents for project approval processes Maintain change management logs and track variation orders, ensuring all changes and associated costs are documented Inform builders and relevant stakeholders of any program delays Mitigate potential penalties by managing schedules and communicating delays Notify TOAC Directors of urgent site issues needing immediate attention Oversee the claims process, including verifying certificates and addressing claim queries Skills&Experience: Valid driver's license Over 5 years of experience in engineering design and construction management; HVAC experience is a plus Professional registration (PrENG, PrTech, etc.) is advantageous Qualification: BSc/ BEng/ BTech in Mechanical Engineering or a related field is preferable; postgraduate studies are advantageous Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
