St Dominic’s College, WelkomSt Dominic’s College, a leading independent day and boarding school in Welkom, invites applications from dynamic candidates for the following positions: Deputy Head: Pupil Affairs – High SchoolDeputy Head: Pupil Affairs – High SchoolThe Headmaster would like to invite applications for the position of Deputy Head: Pupil Affairs (High School) which has become available.The successful candidate must be SACE registered and hold an appropriate professional qualification. Experience in middle management, either Head of Department or member of a Pupil affairs committee is a pre-requisite. Furthermore, the successful candidate must demonstrate an ability to oversee many aspects of school life that compliments the academic programme of the High School. These key result areas include, but are not limited to areas such as sport, cultural activities, pastoral care, discipline, leadership programmes, transformation and diversity, social responsibility programmes and spirituality. The Deputy Head: Pupil Affairs must seek, through carefully designed programmes, not only to enrich the lives of our pupils but to also extend and challenge them.The Deputy Head: Pupil Affairs will report directly to the Executive Headmaster and take responsibility for leading the Pupil Affairs department. The responsibilities of the post include, but not limited to, the following:Responsibility for the moral, spiritual and cultural development of pupilsResponsibility for the provision of the co-curricular programme for pupilsResponsibility for pupil conduct, discipline, rules and regulationsResponsibility for Child Protection and SafeguardingResponsibility for overseeing all Chapel services and AssembliesResponsibility for managing the School PrefectsOverall responsibility for all key eventsMonitoring pupil attendanceApplications should be submitted, with a detailed curriculum vitae, to the Headmaster, St Dominic’s College at applications@dominic.co.za.
