Job DescriptionAn established hotel group requires a Financial Accountant for a 6-month maternity cover contract. The person will be responsible for the accounting, finance-related administration and tax function of various entities within the group. R30 000 - R35 000 per month, in-office.Responsibilities:Annual Accounting/Audit Duties - Prepare Trial Balance for submission to the auditors;Year-end balance sheet reconciliations (customers, suppliers, intercompany loans, etc.)Year-end adjusting journalsPrepare and finalise trial balance for annual auditPrepare and finalise supporting schedules to trial balancePrepare and finalise draft financial statements for approval by managementAssist auditors with audit queriesIncome TaxCalculation of Income Tax Liabilities of various entities within the groupSubmission of Income Tax Returns via e-filingReview of Income Tax AssessmentAll SARS related administration and correspondenceAdministrativeGeneral finance related tasks or special projects required by senior management (CEO or GFM)Comfortable in communicating with senior management, colleagues, customers, suppliers, etcRequirementsQualifications and experience required:BComm. (Fin Accounting), BComm. (Management Accounting) or BAcc.
