POSITION PROFILETITLE Accountant / BookkeeperDEPARTMENT Accounting REPORT TO Office ManagerCONTACTING Managing Agents + Auditors1. DUTIES:Responsible for several companies (Body Corporate and/or Home Own Association) accounts (cash book and general ledgers). To record all transactions and post expenses and income.2. Key duties1. Cashbook function2. Accounts receivable and Credit Control function3. Accounts payable Function4. Month end provisions + general ledger reconciliation5. Statutory Submissions6. Audits7. Team work3. Duty description1. Cashbook functionCaptures and allocates Cashbook data for several companies (Bodies Corporate + HOA) bank accounts.Prepares monthly bank reconciliations and related General Ledgers Accounts.2. Accounts receivable and Credit control functionProcess Accounts Receivable payments in correct accounts.Responsible for managing Accounts Receivable balances within defined company payments terms.3. Accounts payable functionOversee work of Managing AgentReview Accounts Payable reconciliations and related General Ledger reconciliations.4. Month end provisions & general ledger reconciliationProcessing and month end provisions and reconciliations of general ledger.5. Statutory SubmissionsPreparation of VAT returns6. AuditsRetrieves documentation and provides information for the auditor, as required, during the annual audit.7. Team workProvide back-up assistance to other members of the team on request of director.Consistently demonstrates willingness to assist managing agents with tasks to ensure smooth operations in department.Contributes positively towards a professional and pleasant working environment in department and company.Always communicates professionally with colleagues and managers.4 Work SpecificationSkillsProven proficiency in MS Office (Word, Formal post-matric qualification (degree Competence in Pastel and similarExcel & Outlook) or diploma) in accounting/auditing accounting systems to the extent that noProven ability to compile and present oversight is necessary to ensure spreadsheet data, maximising and Minimum 3 years relevant experience. correctness of work formulate & functions facilitate ease and following.
