ENVIRONMENT: THE technical expertise of an ICT Infrastructure Team Lead is sought by a fast-growing FinTech company with a footprint on the African continent. Your core role will be to plan, design, implement, and maintain the group’s ICT Infrastructure. Applicants will require a suitable Degree or Diploma with 3+ years work experience in an IT Support environment with strong analytical and problem-solving skills using logical pragmatic reasoning. You will also be someone with a passion for Africa and a willingness to work in the developing world context. DUTIES: IT hardware - includes procurement, setup, maintenance and replacement processes. Networking and cabling - ensure consistent high standards throughout the group. Connectivity - Data, voice, telephony. Desktop security (including antivirus, Patch Management). User security awareness and training. Desktop support services. Management of in-country IT teams (currently 6 people). Key supplier relationships and management. Google Workspace administration and adoption. Cost Management. Others: Firewalls, VPN, Queueing systems, CCTV. REQUIREMENTS: Qualifications – A relevant Degree or Diploma. Experience/Skills - 3+ Years of relevant work experience in an IT Support environment. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills using logical pragmatic reasoning. Attention to detail. A concern for order, quality and accuracy. A meticulous approach to work. Fast and self-learning abilities. Result orientation and eager to work hard and smart. Good communication skills.
