The main focus of the position is on providing superior outpatient rehabilitation services through a collaborative care model with our physicians in order to optimize performance and enhance the quality of function for our patients.ResponsibilitiesExceptional patient careInterprets physician orders, performs initial evaluations and establishes treatment plans and functional goalsResponsible for upgrading and amending the treatment goals as necessary during the episode of careWritten documentation on patient status to physicians per compliance guidelines of IBJI rehabDetermine appropriate discharge timeline and appropriate follow upSupervision of Rehabilitation Technicians with patient care and administrative staff as neededCompliance with daily paperwork. PT/PTAs/ATCs are responsible for documenting all treatment in patient charts in a timely manner (initial evals, daily notes, progress notes, discharges, HEP)Stays current with billing policies and demonstrates ethical billing practicesMaintains active state license by earning appropriate CEUs through outside courses and IBJI sponsored educational opportunitiesDevelops positive relationships with the physician teams at IBJITakes an active role in the patient medial team: office visits with physicians, contact with case managers, etc.Participates in programs sponsored by IBJI: Mentoring, clinical educator, special interest group, community outreachRequirementsGraduate from accredited Physical Therapy ProgramLicensed or eligible to sit for boards in the state of IllinoisAbility to work in a fast paced environmentProfessional and effective writing and verbal communication skillsAbility to lift greater than 25 poundsDemonstrates good understanding of proper body mechanics for lifting, pulling, pushingAbility to be stand and sit for sequences of time greater than 30 minutesAbility to work on a computer for lengthy times during the day#J-18808-Ljbffr
