Our client, a leader in the steel fabrication space is looking to appoint a suitably experienced General Manager.The company is based in Springs, Gauteng and they require a dynamic driven individual to lead them to new heights.Responsibilities:Oversee the day-to-day production activities, ensuring efficiency, quality, and adherence to production schedulesDevelop and implement production plans and strategies to optimize workflow and maximize outputOrdering necessary materials for jobsMonitor production metrics and performance indicators, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as neededProblem SolvingLead and mentor production teams, providing guidance, training, and support to foster a culture of continuous improvementMaintain a safe working environment by enforcing safety policies and procedures and promoting awareness of safety practices among staffLabour Relations (staff management, discipline - warnings, hearings, etc assisted by HR).Stock control and management of inventory levels and production resources to minimize waste and reduce costsPrepare reports on production performance and maintain an order report to be reviewed with the DirectorEnsure machinery is maintained, serviced and kept in good working orderMaintain relationships with clients and attending to client requests and issues#J-18808-Ljbffr
