Bosch Projects - Employers Agent Representative - fixed termReference number: [REF: PCEA24 ]Closing Date: 17:00 on 31 April 2024Bosch Projects, a Level 1 BBBEE certified company and a member of the multi-disciplinary Bosch Holdings established in 1961, has a fixed-term (approximately 3 months for the remainder of the construction) job opportunity for an Employer’s Agent’s Representative (EAR). This position will be based on-site near Ceres in the Western Cape and serve the construction project on the TR22 from Wolseley to Touws Rivier (starting 1 May 2024). The EAR will report directly to the Employer’s Agent and then to the Regional Director (Cape Town). KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: Construction monitoring of construction activities including the oversight of contractors and ensuring that contractors meet critical project deadlines. Monitoring the Contractor’s progress against the approved programme. Keeping a daily site diary and doing weekly reporting of site activities to the Employer’s Agent(EA) / Engineer. Completion of project administration including payment certificate preparation. Ensuring compliance with the Western Cape Government (WCG) Roads Branch construction monitoring and reporting requirements and thereafter compliance with Bosch Projects ISO 9001/2015 QMS System to ensure successful internal and external audits. Reporting daily to the EA / Engineer on project implementation activities. Referring design changes to the EA / Engineer. Liaison with the Contractor’s Site Agent/Construction Manager with regards to all aspects of the work. Supervision of the EAR Assistants (ARE’s) and Senior Materials Technician in liaising with the relevant service providers to co-ordinate the alteration/relocation of their services. Assisting the EA in compiling minutes of site meetings with the Contractor and Client MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Professional registration with ECSA (Pr Eng or Pr Tech Eng) 5 Years’ experience in construction monitoring roads projects – (8 to 10 years’ experience preferred) Good knowledge and understanding of General Conditions of Contract, 2015 and experience in preparing responses to contractor claims. Experience on WCG Roads Projects will be an advantage. Good computer skills - MS office, Outlook, Word and Excel. The ability to function independently and as part of a project team. Being self-driven with a capacity for continuous self – improvement. A valid driver’s license and own transport.
