NCC 02/1/24: Advertisement of the Post Risk Manager a member of the dtic group A DVERTISEMENT OF THE POST OF RISK MANAGER Job Reference : NCC 0 2 / 1 /2 4 Post : RISK MANAGER Total Cost to Employer : R 811 560 PER ANNUM Centre : Pretoria , Groenkloof Purpose of the job To manage, monitor , report and direct the development and implementation of risk management plans and strategies at the NCC . Key Responsibilities 1. Execute risk management for the NCC in conformance with the Public Sector Risk Management Framew ork 1.1 Develop the NCC’s risk management plan (policy and strategy ) in consultation with the Risk Management Committee 1.2 Perform Risk Assessments and i dentify all risk areas in the NCC 1.3 Develop the annual risk mitigation plan 1.4 Monitor staff compliance with all policies, procedures and guidelines and communicate recommendations. 2. Manage strategies for effective implementation of a udit and risk plans 2.1. Monitor and report on risk issues related to finance, HR, ICT and compliance. 2.2. Draft reports and documentation for reporting to E XCO , Risk Management and the A udit and Risk Management Committee 2.3. Manage the implementation of the plans. 2.4. Advise management on the risk mitigation process. 3. Implement the Fraud Prevention Plan 3.1. Conduct research into possible fraud and report on any findings 3.2. Assess the impact of the present fraud prevention , procedures and norms 3.3. Review and update the present procedures, norms and standards. 3.4. Manage and report on a confidential reporting system to disclose violations of laws or policies 3.5. Develop and maintain responsibility for NCC’s compliance, ethics and integrity plan 4. Provide advice and manage the implementation of the Business Continuity Plan 4.1. Implement the business continuity plan 4.2. Monitor staff compliance with all policies, procedures and guidelines and communicate recommendations 4.3. Work with EXCO to ensure that safety rules and regulation are upheld, and procedures are followed 5. Conduct audit and risk management awareness programmes for the NCC 5.1. Identify training needs related to Risk Management at the NCC 5.2. Develop risk awareness programmes 5.3. Conduct workshops on risk management 5.4. Evaluate the success and effectiveness of the workshop Minimum Qualifications : National Diploma/ B. Degree in Risk Management/ Financial Management/ Auditing / Business administration and EB Driver’s Licence Minimum Experience : 3 - year experience in Risk Management at the management level in the Private or Public sector Minimum Training : Computer Literacy (MS Office Package) and Project Management. Being a member of IRMSA or a related professional body will be an added advantage.
