Additionally, a range of simulators including Reach Stackers, Counter Balances, Mobile Harbour Cranes, Rail Mounted Gantries, Straddle Carriers, and Truck Handling Simulators further enrich the elite training provided by the institution. Eligibility Criteria for Transnet Graduate Trainee Opportunities: To qualify for the Transnet Graduate Trainee Program, applicants must meet the following requirements: Operator Lifting Equipment (OLE): Grade 12 (matric) with Mathematics and Physical Science Possession of a valid Code 8/EB driver’s license for a minimum of three years Proficiency in computer literacy Physical fitness and readiness to work in shifts and adverse weather conditions Successful completion of pre-entry and medical examinations, including assessments of hand-eye coordination, depth perception, and ability to work at heights Technical certificate knowledge (N1-N6) is advantageous Skipper Port Operations (SPO): Grade 12 (matric) with Mathematics and Physical Science Successful completion of pre-entry and medical examinations Marine Motorman Grade II (MMG): Grade 12 (matric) with Mathematics and Physical Science Possession of an EGPR/GPR (general purpose rating) Successful completion of pre-entry and medical examinations Physical fitness and health Minimum requirements may vary for each course, but a Grade 12 with a Level 4 in compulsory subjects like English, Mathematics, and Physical Science is typically expected.
