Job Description Definitive Water Technologies, a market leader in innovative water solutions with some of the best selling brands in their categories on numerous online marketplaces is seeking a Amazon and Takealot Marketplace Manager to join our dynamic e-commerce team starting 1 February 2024. This role is pivotal in steering the online sales and brand presence on Amazon and Takealot platforms. The ideal candidate will be data-driven, meticulous, and have a proven track record of scaling online marketplaces. Key Responsibilities: Manage and optimize product listings on Amazon and Takealot, ensuring that they are accurately represented, competitively priced, and fully stocked. Continually monitor, analyze, and report on marketplace performance metrics, driving improvements in sales conversions and customer satisfaction. Execute effective promotional campaigns to boost product visibility and sales, coordinating with marketing and sales teams for cohesive brand messaging. Monitor and analyze competitor activities on the platforms, identifying opportunities and threats, and strategizing accordingly to maintain a competitive edge. Coordinate with logistics and warehouse teams to manage shipments, ensuring timely deliveries and minimizing stock-outs and overstock situations. Handle customer returns efficiently, analyze return data to identify trends, and implement strategies to reduce return rates. Utilize platform data analytics and other tools to forecast demand, optimize inventory levels at Amazon and Takealot warehouses, and mitigate stock discrepancies. Liaise with Amazon and Takealot support teams to resolve listing issues, policy violations or any other challenges faced on the platforms. Foster strong relationships with internal stakeholders, external partners, and platform representatives to ensure seamless marketplace operations. Stay updated on marketplace platform changes, industry trends, and emerging best practices to keep our marketplace strategy ahead of the curve. Requirements While a degree is not a necessity, some form of education in business, marketing, or a related field is recommended. 1+ years of experience in e-commerce or data analysis, with specific experience managing Amazon and/or Takealot marketplaces or similar platforms being highly desirable. Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data, identify insights, and translate into actionable strategies. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Amazon Seller Central, Takealot Seller Portal, and related e-commerce analytics tools. Experience with Zoho's Suite of applications is a bonus. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
