Job description:Our InsureTech client is looking for a dynamic and results-driven sales manager with expertise in the telecommunications and/or insurance industries, specifically focusing on Telco and InsureTech products and services.The successful candidate will be responsible for providing input to the strategic sales plans, executing the sales strategy, and achieving sales and revenue targets. Candidate should have a proven track record in sales leadership and a deep understanding of the Telco and/or insurance sectors across the African continent. Daily and weekly interaction with senior stakeholders and Investors across Africa (or as directed).Key responsibilitiesSales and distribution strategy:Implement the agreed sales strategies (both assisted and unassisted) aligned to the specific business environment, through the agreed partner distribution channels (physical and digital).Analyse market trends and customer needs to identify opportunities for improvement and growth.Develop embedded insurance product opportunities within each business areaExplore and propose potential alternate distribution avenues that could support the overall company and distribution strategies.Team leadership:Interface, support and inspire the partner sales teams to promote the insurance products and achieve individual and collective targets.Provide coaching and training to enhance the skills and performance of the partner sales teams.Target achievement:Agree on sales targets and KPI’s with the business areas sales teams.Monitor and report on sales performance, understanding any shortcomings, and taking corrective actions as needed to ensure goals / objectives and KPI’s are met.Relationship management:Develop, build and maintain strong relationships with key partners stakeholders.Collaborate with the partner’s marketing teams to create customer focused CVP’s, campaigns and promotions that will support sales objectives and business initiatives.Market research:Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences related to the partner products and services, as well as insurance offerings within each Business unit.Utilise market research to identify new business opportunities, future growth initiatives, and potential CVP’s.Budget management:Develop and manage the sales budget per business unit in support of the strategy and overall revenue objectives, ensuring efficient allocation of resources to achieve targets.Be cognisant of expenditure and cost management to ensure best return on available capitalReporting:Generate regular reports on sales performance, market trends, and competitor activities.Provide insights and recommendations to senior management based on sales and market analytics.Cross-functional collaboration:Collaborate with other departments, internal to the company and within partner structures, to ensure a coordinated approach to business growth.Work closely with the partner management teams to address customer needs.Engage with all stakeholders in a professional and cooperative manner:Provide authoritative expertise and advice to all stakeholdersBuild and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholdersDeliver on agreements made with stakeholders to ensure that expectations are metMake recommendations to improve stakeholder engagementParticipate and contribute to the culture by living the company values.Experience required:Ability to analyse data and market trends to make informed business decisions.Effective communication and negotiation skills.Goal and target motivatedHighly drivenStrong influencerNatural relationship builderProven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets.TenacityEfficient in English (whilst French would be an advantage)The post Sales Manager appeared first on freerecruit.co.za.
