HIRING: Structural Engineer (CT) Technical Completing technical duties as directed by the Engineer inclusive of design, costing, and specifications Drafting technical reports of acceptable technical and presentational quality Able to present/represent their technical work and service offering to potential clients and at technical conferences Providing technical solutions and developing an appreciation of outcomes Responsible for completion of specifically assigned tasks to time and cost Ability to check and inspect constructed works for compliance to design and specifications with moderate supervision Communicating with consultants on technical matters Drafting and implementing Works Authorizations/Variation Orders Reviewing Contractor’s claims and drafting recommendations/rulings/determinations Providing support in the drafting and submitting of work authorizations Providing technical support to other departments Leadership and Management Allocating work to team members and ensuring effective utilization of resources Leading a small team of Technicians/Draughtsmen on a project Supporting the verification of subconsultants' invoices Ensuring projects are completed on time and on budget Quality assurance throughout the project life cycle Indirectly responsible for controlling specific project budgets Drafting responses to straightforward bids (assistance sought with commercial aspects) Working on multiple projects/contracts simultaneously Developmental Developing an understanding of departmental technologies and markets Training Technicians/Draughtsmen in relevant software tools Supporting regional initiatives Developing and maintaining existing client relationships and ensuring good client satisfaction Engaging in continuous professional development and taking necessary steps for professional registration Requirements: BSc or BTech in Civil Engineering/higher degree from an accredited university/college Registration as Candidate with ECSA 5 - 7 years of professional experience Knowledge of structural draughting/modelling packages (Autocad, Revit, Tekla Structures) Competency in reinforced concrete, structural steel, masonry, and timber design Knowledge of structural elemental and Finite element design packages (Prokon, Etabs, Frame, Safe, Tekla Structure Designer, etc) advantageous Experience in commercial, industrial, or residential sector projects advantageous Previous experience with construction supervision and/or structural due diligence inspections #J-18808-Ljbffr
