Senior Quality Engineer with Automotive/Manufacturing experience

Responsibilities for Senior Quality Engineer 1. Maintain quality standards (IATF 16949:2016, ISO 9001:2015&ISO 14001). 2. Contribute to and improve on the operation of the Quality Assurance system and manage and implement the Quality Assurance system. 3. Review Quality Risks of APQP activities 4. Prepare Production Part Approval Process (PPAP and MLA). 5. Ensure that the procedures and processes prescribed by the Quality management system are in place and implemented 6. Develop an updated Continuous Improvement Plan. 7. Plan, co-ordinate, and Conduct Internal Quality Management System Audits per schedule. 8. Promote the use of customer preferred techniques for continuous improvement such as Six-Sigma, Poka-Yoke (Error Proofing), and Measurement System Analysis. 9. Participate in cross-functional teams in the development of new products or changes related to current products in meeting customer requirements. 10. Manage and coordinate customer PPM (Parts per Million), supplier PPM, supplier problem solving on time, cost recovery and supplier warranty indicators. 11. Produce written reports and make presentations. 12. Undertake continuous training and development. 13. Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems. 14. Independently determine approach and assigned tasks. People Management: 1. Lead and/or support quality inspectors. 2. Provide guidance to other team members. 3. Train both team and broader organization members. Qualifications and Experience 1. Ideally the candidate should be between 30 and 50 years of age. 2. Grade 12 + Degree / Diploma in Mechanical / Industrial Engineering / Quality 3. Minimum 5 years management in the Automotive Industry (1st Tier supplier Experience Essential) 4. Project management experience as it applies to the Quality discipline 5. Trained Auditor ISO 9001;2015; IATF 16949:2016& 6. VDA 6.3:2016 would be an added advantage. 7. Extensive working experience in APQP; PPAP;MLA,MSA; Control Plans; PFMEA (Core Tools). 8. Advanced Computer skills. Skills&Attributes: 1. Self-supervising within the guidance and expectations of divisional management. 2. Knowledge of quality systems and measurement. 3. Strong knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA). 4. Lean Manufacturing knowledge. 5. Knowledge of IATF16949 and ISO9001 6. Understanding of ISO14001. 7. Understanding of engineering drawings and manufacturing processes. 8. Ability to work in a diverse and dynamic environment. 9. Good communication and interpersonal skills. 10. Negotiation skills. 11. Ability to present data effectively. 12. Problem-solving skills. 13. Team working skills. 14.
