Development of civil & structural specifications, data sheets, calculations, reports and design criteria, preferentially in the smelter, material / product handling and utilities / services environments.Development of civil and structural designs for earthworks, foundations, drainage, roads, structures in reinforced concrete, timber, and steelwork, building services.Proficient in limit states design.Ability to use Robot Structural Analysis, Prokon or Staad Pro to do structural analysis.Basic understanding of project scheduling.Strong technical drawing review skills, both 2D and 3D.Industry Codes and Standards for structural design in South Africa and abroad.Pricing, tendering and budgeting principles.Knowledge of Health and Safety rules and regulations (Occupational Health and Safety Act, and Mines Health and Safety Act).
