Head of Faculty - Commerce (JB3197) Cape Town Market Related JOB DESCRIPTION: The Head of Faculty is responsible for full programme management for the portfolio of programmes in the faculty. This means accountability for programme development and curriculum reviews, assessment alignment and development, module material updates and prescribed textbook lists. The HoF is expected to ensure academic integrity and regulatory compliance of programmes and assessments offered by the respective sites of ICG; and assure that all programmes, programme factsheets and programme curriculum structures and assessments are aligned in accordance with regulatory requirements as well as ensure accreditation compliance. MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB: The Head of Faculty is responsible for full programme management for the portfolio of programmes in the faculty. REQUIREMENTS OF THE JOB: Minimum of an Honours or master’s degree in the cognate Faculty field 3-5 Years’ Experience in education of which 3 years must be in a programme management role A minimum of 5 years work experience in a TVET environment Preference goes to those with experience in distance learning High level of competency in MS Offices, particularly Word, Excel Advantageous: Familiar with formal assessment&moderation practices, design&development,&programme structuring KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: Programme Management, Development and Review Work integrated learning/workplace (WIL based learning Policies /Procedures and Accreditation Teaching and learning Academic staff capacity Institutional planning, resource allocation and governance Stakeholder surveys on the quality of provision Benchmarking of standards #J-18808-Ljbffr
