The STC delivers high agricultural and quality engineering training to learners in the sugar industry and other industries within and outside South Africa's borders.The successful incumbent will have an opportunity to contribute to the training and development of up-and-coming Electrical/millwright artisans as well as Solar Service Technician.Duties and Responsibilities:Ensuring that training is delivered by means of appropriate training methods which ensure that learners acquire knowledge and skills as prescribed in the curriculumEnsuring that appropriate assessment methods and techniques are used to aid learners' progressive development and achievement of competences as prescribed in the curriculumConducting various forms and types of assessments, including trade tests and moderationsProviding course reports for all learners enrolled in allocated courses and assisting in the compilation of learners Portfolios of Evidence (POEs)Designing, developing, and preparing quality training materials as well as ongoing refinement and improvement of available training materials and resourcesContributing to the development and implementation of customized training to meet customers' specific needsMaintaining an "expert" knowledge level of the Electrical trade through continuous professional development and participation in special projects and assignments as delegated by ManagementEnsuring that training equipment is kept in good working order and appearance and in a ready to use state at all timesEnsuring that a health and safety work ethic is instilled in learners in his/her care and ensuring compliance with Occupational Health and Safety Act (OHSA) and Shukela Training Centre Safety StandardsEducation and Experience:A minimum of an N3 Certificate, or a relevant NQF 4 qualification and a successful completion of a National Trade test in the Electrical tradeRegistered Installation ElectricianA minimum of 3 years industry work experience post apprenticeshipComputer literacy in MS OfficeSkills, Knowledge, and Qualities:Accreditation by the National Artisan Moderating Body (NAMB) as an AssessorCertification of training in solar photovoltaic systems/Trade Test qualification (Green Card)Proven experience as a Solar PV Service TechnicianPrevious experience as a Facilitator/Assessor/TrainerEffective communicationDesired Experience & Qualification HR Services, Recruitment & Selection These jobs were popular with other job seekers Express Employment Professionals Durban North#J-18808-Ljbffr
