Job Title: Substance Misuse Recovery Navigator Location: South West London region (travel required across probation delivery locations) Type: Permanent Salary: £25,154 - £30,742 per annum Sanctuary Personnel is seeking dedicated Recovery Navigators to join our client's Dependency and Recovery Services team. Role and Team Overview: As a Recovery Navigator, you will work within a hybrid model as part of a flexible, multi-disciplinary team, supporting adult male prison leavers and individuals on community orders within the Probation services. Your role involves implementing action plans, navigating recovery journeys, building trust, and providing continuous support and signposting. Key responsibilities include: Conducting comprehensive assessments and creating collaborative action plans. Delivering structured one-to-one and group work/virtual sessions. Maintaining accurate records throughout the recovery process. Providing a range of support and interventions across various complexity levels. Principal Accountabilities: Service Delivery Conduct risk and comprehensive assessments, develop action plans, and complete session and end-of-service reports. Facilitate both one-to-one sessions and group work as outlined in the action plans. Maintain live records as per requirements of the Refer and Monitor system. Foster effective working relationships with all stakeholders, including signposting to relevant agencies. Performance Management Comply with service level agreements and key performance targets. Ensure D&R interventions meet the required standards. Effectively manage caseloads, prioritising individuals appropriately and ensuring timely support. Quality and Safety Report safeguarding concerns to statutory agencies promptly. Maintain accurate, clear, and professional records. Manage confidential information according to statutory duties and policies. Administration Ensure case management documentation meets audit standards. Complete data capture and reporting systems accurately and promptly. Systems and Policy Utilise IT systems efficiently to support your role. Adhere to agreed working protocols with multi-disciplinary agencies. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices. Other Responsibilities Take on additional tasks and responsibilities as deemed appropriate by Line Management. Identify training needs and participate in professional development activities. Required Skills and Competencies: Knowledge, Skills, and Experience: Knowledge and experience in the criminal justice sector (Essential). Experience in the substance misuse field or related areas (Essential). Demonstrable experience in managing high caseloads, conducting comprehensive assessments, and maintaining effective case records (Essential). Experience in delivering both one-to-one and group work interventions using motivational techniques and trauma-informed approaches (Essential). Strong communication skills with people from various backgrounds (Essential). Personal experience of addiction or imprisonment is desirable but not essential. Personal Attributes: Proactive, resilient, adaptable, and confident. Ability to work effectively in a team and open to constructive feedback. Qualifications: Level 3 substance misuse-related qualification or relevant experience (Essential). Qualifications in advice and guidance, counselling, or PTTLLS are desirable.
