Design mechanical machines and components.What the person must be able to do:Execute all job tasks in a cutting-edge mechanical design environment.Design industrial parts for machines and highly sophisticated tooling.Exposure to CAD Design, Finite Element Analysis, and Mechanical Simulation.Design of mechanical machines and components (May be electronically controlled)Design of industrial processing machines and components (e.g. A smelter or a Water Filtration Machine)Draft sophisticated CNC diagrams in CAD softwareCreate simple and complex geometric designs in multiple dimensionsUse 3D Simulation SoftwarePerform design calculations from first principles includes FEA calculationsComponent wear and tear, maintenance and failure analysisTechnical guidance on appropriate component materialsProduct InnovationTechnical Innovation and coming up with unique design solutionsFull product Research and DevelopmentProject Management of development projects from concept phase through to production and implementation in the fieldProject Documentation eg.
