PURPOSE OF JOB:Management of month-end and quarter-end closing, along with reporting to HQ;Management of external quarterly reviews and audits;Preparation of the quarterly audit packs and annual financial statements;Annual, quarterly and monthly forecasting;Monthly financial and management reporting;Review of accounting and processing of company payroll payment;Management of the Tax, Trade AP & Treasury, Assets & eStore Accounting functions and the related staff:Review of monthly vendor reconciliations and release of payments;Management and enforcement of internal controls and compliance with company policies; Other ad-hoc accounting responsibilities; and other ad-hoc HQ reporting and projects.Review and approval of NERP submissions in accordance with IFRS standards;Establishing and maintaining good working relations with internal and external stakeholders to ensure queries are timeously addressed;Addressing internal and HQ requests on a timely basis;Management of monthly open item meetings and quarterly balance-sheet meetings;Preparation of BBBEE TPMS Reporting and review of FSCS and FIHC reporting.Management of annual insurance renewal.Ad hoc internal and external reporting.MAJOR TASKSTimeous & Accurate internal & external reporting;Internal and external audit management, incl. quarterly review pack and AFS.Review accuracy of payment reconciliations and SAP submissions.Open Item ManagementCLIENTS / STAKEHOLDERSInternal:Sales, Marketing and Support Business UnitsExternal:Vendors and auditorsQUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCECA (SA) qualification (advantageous)Minimum 2-year post articles experience.Articles at Big 4 firms (advantageous)Management experience of at least 5 senior staff members.REQUIRED SKILL & COMPENTENCIESTechnical:MS OfficeSAP knowledge – AdvantageousKnowledge and application of IFRS.Behavioral:Organizational skillsTime ManagementProblem solving abilitiesAssertivenessProfessionalismAccountabilityTeam playerSUCCESSFUL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE THESE ATTRIBUTESStress Tolerance & IntegritySense of UrgencyGoal OrientatedSelf-Driven and willing to give 100% at all timesInnovative AttitudeMust have strong verbal and written communication skills.Interpersonal skills & Cultural understandingExtremely strong diplomacy and negotiation skills.Demonstrate maturity and good judgment.Must have the ability to work independently.Must demonstrate the ability to deal with a fast-paced environment with changing work priorities.Administration: Attention to detail and accuracyTeamworkWorks independently within policy guidelines.Understanding and flexibility around late working hours during month-ends/reporting deadlines.#J-18808-Ljbffr
