A challenging position has arisen for an Assistant Maintenance Planner to join our team at the Westmead Biscuit Factory. The purpose of the role is to provide support to the Maintenance Planning function and ensure that all maintenance activities are effectively planned, coordinated and executed. Line Manager: Maintenance PlannerJob Specification:Key Performance Areas:Planning and coordinating daily maintenance activities, including Adhoc tasksAssist with the generation and updating of the weekly maintenance planSupport Engineering team – Safety (LOTO, PTW, SOP’s) & HousekeepingSchedule and allocate PM schedules to resources on CMMS, then compile a pre-approved list and send it for approvalPrepare, compile and update data for Weekly Score CardPerform master data - Updating of PM schedules as per managementFollow up with completed projects, then add new components on the systemCreate PR’s for: Electrical, Services, Process, Safety and Mechanical on SAPPerform general tasks related to administration and reporting as stipulated by the Maintenance PlannerSupport maintenance activities, including assisting with the allocation of resources for planned activitiesEnsure ongoing communication with Engineering Team Leaders, Production Managers and Production Planners.Receive instructions for consumable orders from Foremen, complete order form/s and obtain approval of the Maintenance Planner or relevant other in his/her absenceEnsures that all Job Cards are reviewedAssist with the development of cost and time estimates of maintenance workAssist with the tracking of actual versus budget spend, with the identification of high-risk spend areasAssist with the analysis into the cost of maintenance shutsSupport maintenance and budget control initiativesProvides support for CMMS (Computerised Maintenance Management System) – implementation, optimization and managementVerifying integrity of data captured by artisans daily.Work closely with engineering stores personnel to control spares availability for planned workReport on the effective execution of weekly maintenanceAnalysis and interpretation of maintenance history and report findings to the Maintenance PlannerGenerate weekly maintenance report per plant – Feedback on completion ratesAttend to Audits with required reports every yearCondition monitoring reports that require PM schedules to be uploaded or re-structuredComplete appropriate documentation relating to various maintenance job requests and spare requirementsPrepare templates and upload new requirements discussed in the Production Meeting held every morning and accordingly discuss with the concerned supervisor relating to documents requiredDraft reports based on data compiled and computed following prescribed formatsReport on schedule compliance, preventative and reactiveEngineering contractor safety – compliance to NBL specificationsStatutory maintenance complianceEnsure compliance to statutory and legal schedules by proper schedulingAdhere and comply with set SHE policies, programs, practices, safety standards and regulationsEnsure Job cards have all the relevant safety requirements stipulated including conducting of a risk assessment before starting any job or task and take preventative measuresCompile and record production data for purposes of quality control and other aspects of productionMinimum Requirements:Experience: 1 year experience in maintenance planning1 year experience within a manufacturing environmentQualifications:Grade 12N6/T3/S4/ BTech Diploma or equivalent in an Engineering field would be advantageousA completed course in maintenance planning practices would be an added advantageEngineering field is not a requirement, but would be an advantageIn possession of a recognized trade test as a Fitter or Millwright would be an added advantageAdditional Requirements:Further Courses, certifications, professional affiliations (Microsoft Projects)Competency in computerized maintenance management system (Shopware, Pragma, SAP, etc.).MS Projects is essentialCompetencies:Thinking AnalyticallyDocumenting FactsBuilding RelationshipsArticulating InformationMeeting DeadlinesAttention to DetailPlanning & OrganisingKeeping Commitments#J-18808-Ljbffr
