As part of the Technical Team, and reporting into the Technical Manager, the Site Technician is responsible for the installation, proactive maintenance, and repair of IOT electrical connected systems, and machinery. Requirements: Electrician or Millwright Trade certificate. IT literate: Proficiency with MS Office Proficiency with word processing and spreadsheets. Comprehensive understanding of electronic circuits – 3-phase motor circuits; High voltage AC 400V, 230V, low voltage AC or DC 24V 1-year qualified Electrician experience OR 3+ years’ experience working within electrical field or FMCG or related sector/s Knowledge of electrical motors, gearbox’s, fans, pumps etc. Experience of and willingness to be part of a fast growing and fast paced environment Proven success in providing and maintaining a successful relationship between the client and the company Proven success of adhering to strict safety guidelines and being cognizant of safety risks Advantageous: Basic understanding of communication protocols such as LoRa&Modbus Basic understanding PLC&SCADA systems; Basic Mechanical assembly&AutoCAD Responsibilities: Installation of new systems Test and ensure new systems are ready for installation prior to leaving the workshop Maintain and support current systems and customers Check and maintain site tools and spares Assist with in-housework (procurement, assembly&testing) when there is no outhouse work Act as customer liaison between the client and the company Keep detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation Leadership and management of the technical installation and maintenance team Regular local and global travel to different sites Performing other related duties as assigned Skills, Characteristics and Abilities: Must be proficient in Afrikaans&English High and excellent customer service focus Driver’s licence and valid passport Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing Ability to work at heights Physical ability to lift to 30 kgs Reside in Cape Town and have own transport Willingness to travel locally&globally A clean criminal record Ability to work autonomously and in teams in a high-pressured environment to meet tight deadlines Mechanical aptitude in dealing with wrenches, hammers, forklifts, and other similar tools Working knowledge of mechanical technical skills for effective reading, understanding and application of specification, machine manual, and blueprint documentation Proficient in troubleshooting techniques to solve machine issues Excellent mathematical skills and strong attention to detail Email your CV to clintjobs@wcp.co.za #J-18808-Ljbffr
