When it comes to creating a place where everyone is welcome, we're number 1. The number 1 Top Employer in South Africa. Certified by the Top Employer Institute 2024.Role Purpose/Business Unit: The role of the Business Manager will report directly to the Chief Officer: Financial Services and should have a strong financial background and good project management knowledge as well as an in-depth knowledge of the business and industry.Your responsibilities will include: To increase the available time and agility of the Chief Officer: Financial Services in order to focus her time, effort and priorities on strategic initiativesTo act as liaison between the Chief Officer: Financial Services and other stakeholders both internal and externalTo be responsible for all the data reporting needs within Financial Services to integrate into Exco and board reportsTo assist the Chief Officer: Financial Services with various functions ranging from pro-active financial analysis to businessProject management.Ensure on-time and within budget Financial Services deliverablesPromote a service mentality and develop strong relationships with consumer, business and technology areasSupport alignment of activities and objectives across Financial Services requirementsDeliver actionable measurement for all impacting projects and initiativesLead world class measurement and improvement model for the analytical and operational teams across Financial ServicesSupport the Chief Officer’s OfficeEnsure on-time and within budget Financial Services deliverablesPromote a service mentality and develop strong relationships with consumer, business and technology areasSupport alignment of activities and objectives across Financial Services requirementsDeliver actionable measurement for all impacting projects and initiativesLead world class measurement and improvement model for the analytical and operational teams across Financial ServicesManage creation of consistent and integrated improvementResolve problems and mediate disputes before it is escalated to the Chief Officer: Financial Services where possible. Facilitate the dissemination and receipt of key information by working closely with the Financial Services Chief and leadership teamRepresent the Chief Officer: Financial Services in meetings and action decisions / deliverables as mandated from time to timeFinancial review and analysisWork closely with the Finance Business Partner to analyse and interpret financial information to ensure that Financial Services operates within budget     requirements.Prepare executive summaries and updates on expenditure/cost against deliverablesProactively engage with Financial Services leadership on operational and reporting items as required from time to timeMonitor the implementation of cost saving initiativesReporting and GovernanceEnsure a sound reporting framework is in place which is aligned to the Vodacom / Vodafone standardsWork with key stakeholders to design and develop and an automated dashboard that displays the Chief Officer: Financial Services KPI’s and is fit for purposeEnsure that good governance principles are adhered to with the Chief Officer: Financial Services officeCo-ordinate and drive monthly reports and reviews as required by the Chief Officer: Financial Services with a focus oncritically filtering and prioritising key pieces of informationPrepare the necessary documentations and presentations as required for internal and external audiences by prioritising and validating information that facilitates sound decision makingEvaluate commercial information and recommend compelling value propositionsProvide analysis and reporting for Exco and Board of DirectorsEnsure business decisions are implemented and executed within the approved and accepted governance frameworkAd hoc requirementsOversee and deliver on strategic projects in the office of the Chief Officer: Financial Services as aligned to the strategic roadmap impacting all functional areas viz EBU; CBU; Technology etc.Monitor progress on allocated projects deliverablesMonitor progress on allocated projects deliverables The Ideal Candidate for this role will have: Must have technical / professional qualifications: Matric / Grade 12 essential and Minimum of 3-year relevant Degree/ National Diploma or is essentialBusiness related courses completed is essentialA business-related MBA is strongly preferredMinimum of 8 years relevant experience essential:Managing functional responsibilities at a senior manager level within a corporate environmentProject managementManaging / building relationships at Executive levelProviding financial analysis at Executive Management levelMinimum of 2 years Leadership/Management experience (an advantage)Manage and give inputs on behalf of Chief Office: Financial ServicesCore competencies, knowledge and experience:Detailed understanding of governance and decision making across the businessWorking knowledge of project management methodologies and toolWorking knowledge of the fundamentals of financial analysis and budget processThorough understanding of the ICT Market and in particular, Telecommunications products, services, technologies, andbusiness processesStrong business acumenWe make an impact by offering:Enticing incentive programs, competitive benefit packages, and an exclusive 13th chequeRetirement funds, risk benefits, and medical aid benefitsCell phone and data benefits, advantages fibre connection discounts, and exclusive staff discounts offered in collaboration with partner companiesClosing date for Applications: 19 June 2024The base location for this role is –Vodacom Campus MidrandThe company's approved Employment Equity Plan and Targets will be considered as part of the recruitment process.
