Requirements Relevant tertiary qualification: a degree or diploma in HR is preferred3 to 5 years of work experience as an HR Business Partner in a similar role2 year’s experience recruiting for technical roles within the information technology fieldThorough knowledge of South African labour legislation, disciplinary procedures, and HR policies and proceduresComprehensive understanding of human resources functions and best practicesHigh proficiency in using Google Workspace toolsPrior experience in a tech start-up or technology environment advantageousResponsibilities Work closely with the HR Manager to retain and build strong working relationships and implement policies to support employee wellness and moraleAssist with managing and iterating upon our employee onboarding and offboarding processes, keeping in mind the shift to remote work and our fast-scaling teamAssist with managing our performance appraisal system that drives high performance on a quarterly and annual basisEnsure legal compliance with labour regulations including but not limited to LRA, BCEA, OHS, COIDA, POPI, and GDPRMaintain employee records according to policy and legal requirements, storing confidential documents in electronic formatEnsure that the payroll function maintains compliance with contemporary and/or relevant Accounting, Tax, and Labour regulationsImplement recruitment, promotions, and transfer initiatives to appoint most suitable candidates available, in a most cost-effective manner, given the specific needs of the respective business units
