Duties and ResponsibilitiesAssessor:Plan and prepare for trainingEnsure all material is up-to-date, correctly printed, and boundPrint all QMS related formsFollow the QMS Procedures and ensure all forms are signed and completed correctlyEnsure that training is timeously communicated to the employer and learners and that there is good communication before conducting the training interventionEnsure the availability of equipment and suitability of the training venue a week before conducting the trainingTailor the material to the customers’ requirementsConduct training professionally and with a high standard of integrityAssess learners as per assessment principlesAssess learners' performanceTraining Material Development:Modify and improve existing training materialConduct assessment reports and assessment review within two weeks of conducting trainingMotivate, encourage, and mentor learners where appropriateEncourage learners to attend further training and developmentModify and continuously improve assessment guides, handouts, PowerPoint, and related training material to ensure continuous improvementConduct pre-and post-pilot evaluations on all training materialEnsure that all new material is of the highest standard (format and grammatical)ConsultationsPlan the consultations according to the proposed implementation planPrepare the necessary FSMS documents (policies, procedures, work instructions, and forms) before the consultationLiaise directly with the client regarding the visits to confirm visits and clarity of information prior to the visitCoach and mentor, the client regarding the implementation of the required procedures/formsImplement the necessary inspections with the client to ensure clarityConduct FSMS audits using the relevant checklist once the implementation process is complete to verify conformance to retain chain store requirementsSubmit audit reports to clients within two weeks of having conducted auditSubmit the summary of audit findings on the day of the auditConsult on other food science and related topics either virtually or in personConsult on Health and Safety relevant to the food industry (ISO 45001)Consult on Social Ethical Standards (SIZA, GRAPS, ISO 26000)Consult on ISO14001, SIZA and Spring add on environmental standardsResearchConduct research and write up on topics or issues as per the research planResearch relevant regulations or legislation as deemed necessaryWrite monthly newsletters for publication on the websitePresentationsConduct presentations on behalf of the company (conferences, workshops, etc)General Office DutiesAnswer telephone callsPerform other administrative tasks as and when requiredKnowledge, Skills, and Attitude RequiredPC literacy, ability to write letters and emails, good telephone skills, excellent communication skills, persuasion, and negotiating skillsHigh level of self-confidence and excellent standard of integrity and business ethicsAbility to work independently and excellent time management skillsOther RequirementsWillingness to work overtime if requiredValid code 08 driver's license, willing to travel, willing to go the extra mile to achieve customer satisfactionWillingness to take ownership of work performedEntrepreneurial flairDiligence and excellent time management skillsKey Performance MeasuresMaintaining the QMS systemMonthly reporting on progress of all training and consulting interventionsReporting on FSMS implementation consultation according to the FSMS implementation planCompleting FSMS implementation within the set time framesAudit findings the clients receiveClient feedbackExperienceScience-based Honours qualification (Food Science, Biochemistry, Agricultural Science) or environmental HealthExcellent understanding of local Agricultural, Food Hygiene Legislation and StandardsThree years’ work experience as a facilitator, consultant and extension officer in Food and Beverage IndustryMinimum QualificationsFoodBev SETA and AgriSETA Registered Assessor and ModeratorFood Safety Lead AuditorDegree in Agricultural Science, Food Technology or Environmental HealthFurther DevelopmentGood Manufacturing Practices Implementation and Regulation 638 trainingAdvanced HACCP, and Internal Auditing trainingAssessor and Moderator's courseFSSC 22000, GlobalGAP and BRCGS Implementation WorkshopISO 45001 implementation and health & safety related standards and regulationsISO 14001 Implementation and other environmental related standardsISO 9001 Standards implementationISO26000 Standards and other related Ethical standards#J-18808-Ljbffr
