Job Description: As a Senior Tester, you will be responsible for ensuring the quality and reliability of our client's software applications. You will work closely with development teams, product managers, and other stakeholders to identify issues and ensure that our products meet the highest standards. This role requires a deep understanding of the software development life cycle (SDLC), proficiency in testing tools and frameworks, and a strong background in automation. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for web-based applications and APIs. Implement and maintain automated test frameworks using SELENIUM, APPIUM, and other relevant tools. Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand requirements and design comprehensive testing strategies. Use JIRA for bug tracking and project management, ensuring issues are logged, tracked, and resolved in a timely manner. Conduct thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved. Write and execute SQL queries to validate data and ensure data integrity. Leverage cloud computing platforms, such as Microsoft Azure DevOps, for continuous integration and deployment. Participate in SCRUM or Kanban Agile team activities, contributing to planning, reviews, and retrospectives. Stay current with industry trends and advancements in software testing, continuously improving testing practices. Mentor and guide junior testers, fostering a culture of quality and excellence within the team. Qualifications: National Diploma/B.Tech/BSc in Information Technology or relevant testing experience AND/OR Relevant Bachelor’s Degree. Minimum of 5 years of experience in Software Testing. At least 2 years of experience in the insurance/financial services industry. 5 years of Automation experience or 3 years of Software Development. Proficient in testing tools and frameworks, including SELENIUM and APPIUM. Proficiency in JIRA, .NET, JAVA, C#, SOAP&REST API, SQL. Proficiency in cloud computing platforms, such as Microsoft Azure DevOps. Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC). Certification in software quality assurance or testing, or relevant certifications (e.g., ISEB ISTQB foundation certification plus Agile Tester Extension or Certified Agile Tester – iSQI CAT) with commensurate testing experience. Advanced understanding of test automation, including implementing new frameworks and enhancing existing ones. Experience working in a SCRUM or Kanban Agile team. Required experience in testing web-based applications. Required experience in testing APIs. Experience in setting up test cases and designing and executing tests.
