It’s the Golden Rule – the simple idea that if you treat people well, the way you would like to be treated, they will do the same.” – Isadore Sharp, Founder and Chairman Four Seasons Hotels and ResortsJob SummaryOur Sales and Marketing team is dedicated to accommodating guest requests from the ordinary to the extraordinary.Main Duties and Responsibilities:Adhere to the Sales & Marketing Minimum Operating Standards.Commit to supportive teamwork and open communication.Drive rooms, catering and conference business.Provide team members and guests consistent and timely responses.Under the supervision of the Director of Sales and Marketing, develop individual accounts plan using information provided by sources such as Worldwide Sales Offices, Front Office, regular guests, media, industry contacts and market intelligence.Work to targets for both financial and sales activity as agreed with the Director of Sales and Marketing.Research new market opportunities and develop strategies likely to produce business for the hotel.Enter all relevant data in Golden Sales & Catering in compliance.Keep up-to-date account base performance records and review/forecast regularly.Prepare and report on statistics useful to our sales efforts including nationality, guest origin, booking sources, etc.Organise, plan and participate in familiarisation tours as required.Invite potential users to tour the property and conduct individual tours highlighting the facilities and services.Represent the hotel at travel trade or business functions as required.Entertain potential and existing clients in our food and beverage outlets, including weekends as and when required or appropriate.Ensure the correct portrayal of the company image at all times.Undertake all reasonable requests when asked to do so.Develop overseas accounts if required to do so, by planning and conducting international sales trips.Undertake other duties and responsibilities outside of the daily/weekly routine, but within the overall scope of the position.Perform other duties and projects as directed by the General Manager or Senior Management, relating to the two properties.Minimum Requirements:Successful candidate must possess legal rights to work in South Africa.Please note that due to the large number of responses we receive, only candidates being considered for the above position will be contacted for an interview.
