Description We are recruiting for a Head of Design. In this role, you will be responsible for embedding human-centered design practice into Old Mutual’s strategy and execution that changes customer’s lives for the better through meaningful experiences. You will develop and own the Experience Design Strategy for the Group, including the methodology, design standards, and governance and have holistic ownership of the Design value chain for OML from CVP to benefits realization. This is an executive level role and operates as part of a portfolio exco team. This role reports to the Executive Head: GRID. OM GRiD is a portfolio within Old Mutual. Our aim is to help customers navigate their life-long journey towards financial wellness and to reward customers for taking positive steps to improve their financial wellness. We do this by bringing together our Financial wellness Platform, OM Rewards and MyOldMutual. Strategy Develops and owns the Design Strategy for the Group, driving meaningful experiences across all stakeholder groups. Design Capability Responsible for Design Enablement capability, ensuring that methodology, tools, knowledge management, design standards and governance are in place and adhered to. Drives effective resource planning and management reporting across the Design function. Enables the effective integration of service design and UI/UX design into one Experience Design capability for the group. Lead organisation systems and design thinking capability build as a way of work, advocating for the voice of the customer. Acts as chapter lead for Design Chapter, ensuring effective resource allocation across customer outcome teams/ business units as well as quality of resources and effective line management. Team Leadership and Collaboration Build and lead a cross-functional team. Works with teams and stakeholders, in an agile environment, to continuously review business needs, refine priorities, outline milestones and deliverables, and identify opportunities and risks. Foster a collaborative and innovative work culture, empowering team members to excel in their respective roles. Drive Cultural Transformation required for the digital transformation of Old Mutual Limited. Customer Engagement and Satisfaction Champion customer-centricity by understanding and addressing the needs and pain points of our users. Strong emphasis on cultural transformation required in order to advocate for the voice of the customer or similar user. Risk Management and Compliance Responsible for setting design governance and ensuring compliance. Proactively identify and mitigate risks. Develop and execute a roadmap for talent acquisition and skills development to set-up a strong Design team to support the group. Skills Education Closing Date 31 May 2024
