OverviewThe Senior Network Engineer is responsible for working closely with our IT Partners and IT Vendors to Design, Implement and Support all Collocated Datacenter Services, Networks, Perimeter Security, Wireless and Voice over IP Services. Through preemptive incident and resolution activities, as well as product reviews, operational improvements, operational practices, and quality assurance this role will maintain a high level of service to our employees and clients. The primary objective is to ensure service level agreement (SLA) are adhered to.The Senior Engineer is responsible for managing tickets of high complexity, conducts advanced and complicated tasks, and provides resolution to a diverse range of complex IT problems. This position uses considerable judgement and independent analysis within defined policies and practices. Applies analytical thinking and deep technical expertise in achieving client outcomes, while coaching and mentoring junior team members across functions.The successful candidate will need to be an analytic thinker, have the ability work under pressure to solve complex infrastructure problems in keeping with our enterprise architecture principles, policies, and standard operating procedures to deliver scalable and reliable infrastructure solutions to support our business platforms, end user and increase overall revenue. ResponsibilitiesMonitor all network infrastructure IT Assets, specifically around availability, latency, jitter for VOIP services, MOS rating and overall quality of service for key business critical applicationMaintain all User Requirements Specification, As is and To Be Design specifications, Work Instructions, Processes, Policies, Technical Standards and As Built documentations for infrastructure servicesMaintain consistent infrastructure configuration in relation to agreed standards and policy guidelinesDevelop and regularly test the disaster recovery plans for all network infrastructure services based on an agreed yearly schedulePerform network capacity planning and upgrades based on network monitoring and agreed demand pipelinePerform at a minimum monthly vendor management for all infrastructure services related to Incident, Request, Projects, and Work OrdersTroubleshooting and resolution of complex network issuesConsult and advise our business regarding infrastructure related requirements, example Office moves, Connectivity needs related to Cloud ServicesEnforce “Security by Design” principle is adhered to when designing, installing, and maintaining all infrastructure servicesBe the Technical Lead for infrastructure related formal project, service improvements and/or upgradesMaintain an inventory of all network infrastructure related IT AssetsMaintain and manage all DNS, IP addressing, and public certificates related to infrastructure servicesManage all change request related to network infrastructure servicesReport and escalate Incidents to 3rd Party vendorsManage Root Cause Analysis for Priority 1 and/or Priority 2 reoccurring incidents that may result in a ProblemMentor and share knowledge with peers and junior engineers QualificationsAbility to communicate and work across different cultures and global geographic officesAbility to plan activities and projects well in advance, and considers possible changing circumstancesAbility to maintain a positive outlook at workAbility to work well in a pressurized environmentAbility to think out of the box and find methods of automating repeatable infrastructure activitiesAbility to apply active listening techniques such as paraphrasing the message to confirm understanding, probing for further relevant information, and refraining from interruptingAbility to adapt to changing circumstancesSolid Understanding of TCP/IP and networking protocolsWorking experience with networking protocols like OSPF, EIGRP, QoS, Multicast configuration and BGPLayer 2 networking, including STP, VLANs and port channel/Ether channel technology, etc.Layer 3 networking, including dynamic routing protocols (like the ones mentioned above) and HSRP/VRRP/GLBP/SVI, etc.CCNP with solid SD WAN experience. CCIE would be advantageous.Cisco SD-WAN and/or Meraki experienceExperience with various tools such as Protocol Analyzer, IPAM, RADIUS, TACAC’s, etc.Network Packet captures and analysis (Wireshark)Development/Automation/Scripting knowledge (Python) preferableExperience setting up and managing Network Monitoring tools for all infrastructure services, i.e., Datacenter, Network Devices, monitoring of VOIP and Video ServicesExperience installing and maintaining perimeter security services which includes but not limited to Next Gen Firewall devices (Example Checkpoint’s, FortiGate’s, etc.), Intrusion Prevention Systems, Web Filtering, Remote VPN Solutions and IPSEC tunnelsExperience setting up Multi Factor authentication for all infrastructure related servicesExperience setting up and maintaining Wireless Access Points and Wireless ControllersMatric / Grade 12.Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Information Technology or similar qualificationMinimum CCNP with at least 6 years working experience designing, installing, and maintaining medium to large infrastructure services (Network, Wireless, Perimeter Security, Datacenters and VOIP Services)Preferable Firewall certification, Example FortiGate, CheckPoints or Palo Alto’sPreferable experience in setting up Cloud Connects to Cloud Providers, Example: Microsoft, Amazon, etc.#J-18808-Ljbffr
