Our client, a Boutique Law firm is looking for a Commercial Litigation Lawyer to join their team. Their business is rapidly growing with a wide range of corporate clients based both nationally and internationally. This is the ideal opportunity for a lawyer who wants to exchange the city life for the countryside but with the earning potential of living in the city. Duties and Responsibilities Manage a caseload of commercial litigation matters from inception to resolution, ensuring that all deadlines are met and cases progress efficiently. Conduct legal research on relevant statutes, regulations, and case law to develop effective litigation strategies and provide legal advice to clients. Prepare and draft a variety of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, affidavits, discovery requests, and settlement agreements. Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and procedural requirements, including court rules, filing deadlines, and ethical obligations. Manage administrative tasks associated with litigation, such as maintaining case files, tracking billable hours, and preparing billing statements for clients. Provide strategic legal advice to clients on a wide range of commercial law issues, including contract disputes, corporate governance matters, intellectual property disputes, and commercial real estate litigation. Key Focus Areas Litigation of commercial transactions. Collections. Enforcement of commercial contracts. Restraint of trade disputes. Securities. Claims relating to intellectual property. Product Liability. Building and engineering claims. Qualifications and Experience Requirements Admitted attorney with LLB / BA Law / BCom Law. 1 – 5 years PQE. Experience practicing commercial litigation in a reputable law firm or corporate legal department. Demonstrated experience handling a variety of commercial disputes, including but not limited to contract disputes, corporate governance issues, intellectual property matters, and commercial real estate disputes. Strong research, writing, and analytical skills with the ability to effectively communicate complex legal concepts to clients and stakeholders. Experience managing client relationships and providing strategic legal advice to businesses and organizations across various industries. Continuing legal education and willingness to stay updated on developments in commercial law and litigation practices.
